Mary C. Finger, Ed.D., Selected as Tenth President of Seton Hill University.

The Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill congratulate and welcome Mary C. Finger, Ed.D., who was named tenth president of Seton Hill University. Michele Ridge, Chair of the Seton Hill University Board of Trustees and Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, made the announcement on February 12, after a lengthy national search for a new president to succeed the late JoAnne Boyle. The Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill along with Trustees, President’s Council, students, faculty and staff, alumni, friends, and community leaders, participated in the process that led to the Board of Trustees’ decision to select Mary Finger to lead Seton Hill University into a new era.
Sister Catherine Meinert, Provincial Superior and President of the Sisters of Charity United States Province and Vice Chair of the Seton Hill University Board of Trustees, expressed her joy and confidence in the decision. “The Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, who founded the college and are still actively engaged in the life of the university, are pleased that Mary Finger will serve as the tenth President of Seton Hill. We know she will continue to advance our identity, the legacy of our distinctive Setonian tradition, and in the words of Elizabeth Ann Seton, ‘help fit our students for the world in which they are destined to live.’”
